Market Day

Done with Stangl, onto the roots of modern Japanese consciousness.  Was it an internal acclimation  to isolation and perceived homogeneity?  Or a response to the ABCD conflicts preceding WW II?  (Americans, British, Chinese, Dutch)  Stay tuned!

Meanwhile, setting aside claims of racial superiority for the moment, I bought beautiful radicchio stuffed mezzaluna this A.M. from my favorite bakery and then great Parma prosciutto and very fresh ricotta at Rialto market.  Late lunch, preceded by the wonderful Architecture Biennielle, and intermittently a whirlwind exchange with a chef about rock and roll, and here we are, thinking about what’s next.

What is next?

A night out, a night in, pitches about Tokyo to a magazine in Bangkok, and more work for a magazine in Singapore.
