Foie Gras & Stalingrad

I don’t imagine that I am the only one disturbed or provoked or maybe even offended, I’m not sure, by all the talk about food and fine dining during wartime.  We could be in Berlin eating sausages (black market) and drinking beer while our brave boys are surrounded in the oil fields around Stalingrad.  There is simply not enough context for talk of food to justify all the blather.
